We are proud to announce that Avem joins the Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator, being incubated by the most prestigious accelerator in the crypto world.
BBX launched in January 2019 as a joint venture between Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology of Berkeley Engineering and Blockchain at Berkeley. The accelerator provides non-dilutive support for selected teams by providing access to resources with the aim of advancing technology, creating new ventures and supporting research.
For this 2022 Cohort over 300 applications were received, with Avem being one of the 20 teams selected. Throughout the different incubations, BBX projects have secured over $400M representing to date 65 alumni teams where among them can be found Acala or Astar Network, both of them becoming successful parachains inside the Polkadot ecosystem.
Avem benefits of BBX’s exposure to blockchain industry connections in Silicon Valley and worldwide, access to partner and network resources and investor connections. Also education and mentorship are two important key aspects to which the accelerator will contribute to the Avem team.
